The Team: The Senior Security is responsible for designing and implementing robust security architectures and strategies to protect the organization’s information assets and technology infrastructure. This role involves defining security in design requirements in software development & work with developers to bake it in the design, evaluating existing security practices, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and developing innovative solutions to safeguard data and systems against threats. The Senior Security engineer will work closely with various teams to ensure security standards and procedures are effectively integrated into all aspects of the organization's technology environment.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Architectural Design:

    • Design security solutions and architectures that align with business goals and compliance requirements.

    • Evaluate and recommend security technologies and tools that enhance the organization's security posture.

  • Risk Management:

    • Identify and assess security risks and vulnerabilities within the organization's IT infrastructure and applications.

    • Develop risk mitigation strategies and collaborate with IT teams to implement effective controls.

    • Perform security assessments and gap analyses to address identified weaknesses.

  • Policy and Procedure Development:

    • Enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent and effective security practices.

    • Provide guidance on the integration of security measures.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with IT, development, and operational teams to ensure security is integrated into all technology projects and processes.

    • Communicate security concepts and strategies effectively to stakeholders at various levels within the organization.

  • Compliance and Governance:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001).

    • Security assessments to ensure adherence to internal and external compliance requirements.

  • Application Security Experience & ability to run

    • Dynamic vulnerability assessments (DVA)

    • Static vulnerability assessments (SVA) – Code reviews

    • Software composition analysis (SCA)

    • Mobile vulnerability Assessments (MVA) – IoS & Android

    • Penetration Tests

  • Training & Empowering Developers on Security principles & coding practices

  • Define security in design requirements in software development & work with developers to bake it in the design

  • Perform hands on Application Security assessments using commercial & open source tools

  • Configure scans & establish baseline scans using Fortify/Webinspect

  • Able to perform vulnerability False positive analysis & triaging, articulate issues to developers and provide the guidelines to fix it

  • Vulnerability Research & Discovery.

What we are looking for:

Required Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

  • Bachelors degree required.

  • 3-5 years of experience in technical infrastructure security assessments and design.

  • Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies, standards, and products.

  • Ability to determine how security systems should operate and their resilience.

  • Understanding of IT/risk management techniques.

  • Knowledge of security testing tool such as Fortify/Webinspect that identifies application vulnerabilities.

  • Able to perform vulnerability False positive analysis & triaging, articulate issues to developers and provide the guidelines to fix it.

Knowledge Areas:

  • Perform hands on Application Security assessments using commercial & open-source tools.

  • Ability to work on Cloud Infrastructures.

  • Knowledge of Industry-standard and organizational risk analysis principles.

  • Understanding of Enterprise IT architectural concepts and patterns.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Leadership and mentoring abilities to guide and support team members.
