The Project Manager is a key member of the centralized Marketing and Brand Experience Project Management Office (PMO), responsible for leading Tier 1 and Tier 2 campaign initiatives from intake through delivery across the communications and marketing function at Leidos.

This role partners closely with Brand, Marketing, Creative, Digital, Experience, Technology, and internal and external partners to bring structure, visibility, and coordination to complex, cross-functional work. The Senior Project Manager ensures initiatives are clearly scoped, prioritized, and executed efficiently while helping protect team capacity and reduce last-minute disruption.

The role is highly collaborative and delivery-focused, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution. The Project Manager also plays an important role in shaping PMO standards, workflows, and reporting, using the project management tool (Workfront) to drive consistency and transparency across function-wide delivery.

Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery (40%)

  • Lead Tier 1 and Tier 2 campaign initiatives from intake through completion
  • Translate intake requests into clear scopes, timelines, and delivery plans
  • Manage milestones, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution across workstreams
  • Ensure initiatives deliver against defined objectives, timelines, and success metrics

Intake, Planning & Prioritization (20%)

  • Partner with PMO leadership to review intake, confirm project tiering, and align on prioritization
  • Support planning decisions based on capacity, urgency, and business impact
  • Ensure work entering execution is approved, ready, and clearly defined

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination (20%)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned initiatives
  • Coordinate closely with Brand, Marketing, Creative, Digital, Experience, Technology, and vendor partners
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate risks, changes, and trade-offs proactively

Tools, Reporting & Process Improvement (20%)

  • Manage initiatives within the project management tool (Workfront), maintaining accurate timelines, statuses, and documentation
  • Contribute to PMO reporting, dashboards, and portfolio visibility
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, templates, and delivery standards
  • Support adoption of PMO processes and best practices across MBX

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field and 8+ years of experience in project management, marketing operations, or a related discipline. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional campaign or initiative delivery
  • Hands-on experience using project management tools to manage intake, timelines, and reporting (Workfront preferred)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable partnering across creative, experience, and operational teams to drive delivery

Pay Range:

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
