Clinical Nurse Educator - Antepartum, Postpartum, Labor and Delivery- Days, Evenings

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse Clinical Nurse Educator
• Location: Evanston, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full time 32 hours
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 0800-1630 and 1500-2330
• Required Travel: 2 Women's , 3 Women's, and Labor and Delivery

What you will do:

• This role includes providing direct patient care.
• Acts as a clinical resource to staff; maintains visibility in the clinical environment for just in time learning facilitation and/or assisting in providing direct patient care.
• Precepts registered nurses new to the department.
• Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate providing educational activities at various times of the day and various days of the week.
• Facilitates the onboarding of employees to ensure integration to the role on both unit and system-wide levels, focusing on retention and growth for licensed and unlicensed team members.
• Serve as a clinical mentor and role model for new and existing staff.

What you will need:

• Education: A Bachelors or Master’s degree in nursing is required. Master's Degree in nursing preferred.: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of Illinois.
• Certification: Board certification in area of clinical specialty or within one year of board eligibility

Experience:

• Demonstrated clinical nursing expertise with a minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in Antepartum/Postpartum, Labor and Delivery Level III
• Competent in oral and written communication
• Demonstrate effective leadership and interpersonal skills
• Possesses basic competency in computer skills.
• Proficient with Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Completion of a preceptor program and experience as preceptor
• Experience as a “champion” and/or council participation
