About the Role:
The Sr. Director of Product Marketing for Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Services is a newly created role reporting directly to the SVP of Product Marketing. As organizations of all sizes are consolidating on the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, we have an opportunity to continue to help organizations close their cyber skills gap by managing their CrowdStrike deployment. In addition, CrowdStrike along with our robust partner ecosystem continues to build value-added strategy, advisory and implementation services offerings around the Falcon platform.
This product marketing leadership role is focused on market awareness and education, market creation and driving market demand for CrowdStrike and our partner ecosystem in the market. This role requires a high degree of strategic go-to-market (GTM) and product category positioning expertise to help shape the market and drive category leadership within our offerings. This role also serves as a central hub between product and engineering, our services and Falcon Complete MDR teams, sales and marketing, customers and partners, and the analyst community (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, IDC) to drive adoption and expansion with new and existing customers.
Given the breadth of our MDR and service capabilities, you must have a strong background and knowledge of the MDR and Cybersecurity Services markets, offerings, and landscape, as well as an ability and desire to learn and ramp up quickly. You need to be able to translate complex technical topics into simple, value and outcome-based stories for each market persona. Success in this role will require experience leading a high-growth product marketing teams and driving a global go-to-market strategy with value propositions targeting both business and technical personas.

What You’ll Do:
Product Positioning and Storytelling: Create hard-hitting, differentiated positioning for the CrowdStrike MDR and Services portfolio. Storytelling and an ability to bridge technical capabilities to differentiated value and outcome-based stories to separate CrowdStrike from other vendors in the market, as well as tell better together stories with our partner ecosystem, is core to this role. This role also requires a clear understanding of the target personas and customer segments to create segment and persona-based messaging.
Market Awareness & Content Creation: Work cross-functionally and learn how our customers are working with CrowdStrike and leveraging our platform to drive business outcomes, and use this knowledge to build content and programs for market awareness, educational content and demand generation programs.
Analyst Relations: Lead our global analyst relations strategy and execution process, working closely with our MDR and Services teams to build analyst relationships, drive analyst education and influence programs, and drive a cross-functional process for analyst reports (e.g., Gartner MQ, Forrester Wave).
Competitive and Technical Marketing: Be the expert on our target markets, personas, market trends, and competitive differentiation and positioning. Educate internal stakeholders and the market through competitive asset creation, customer stories, ‘win wires,’ field enablement, and competitive programs.
Pricing & Packaging: Work cross-functionally to create pricing and packaging strategies that create competitive differentiation and accelerate MDR and Services adoption.
Executive Engagement: Be part of the product marketing leadership team and participate in strategic planning and GTM initiatives as well as represent product marketing with various senior leaders across the company to drive global product GTM strategies and initiatives.
What You’ll Need:
Minimum of 15+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, MDR or Cybersecurity Services product marketing or product management.
Ability to process and translate a large amount of technical information into hard-hitting and differentiated stories and an intellectual curiosity to learn new areas of the platform and the market as needed.
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across the organization at all levels and with customers, partners, and analysts.
A leadership and management style that both coaches and empowers teams to do the best work of their careers and drives a sense of urgency and a competitive drive to win across the team. Success will require the ability to understand the market and set the strategy while diving into the operational details and having a command of the business.
