Job Description

What will you do?

Core Responsibilities:

  • Data Engineering: Design and build scalable data pipelines ingesting from mainframes, Chorus, cloud platforms, and monitoring tools into Elastic using Python, Logstash, and Kafka
  • API Development: Build cloud-native REST APIs on OpenShift (OCP) that power GAIA's agentic automation and enable autonomous remediation workflows
  • Agentic System Development: Create data foundations and APIs that feed AI agents for autonomous risk remediation, batch job recovery, and infrastructure maintenance
  • Application Development: Enhance  Python services to expand platform capabilities and data sourcing
  • Performance & Scale: Optimize data ingestion, API performance, and query efficiency for enterprise-scale operations
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with SRE teams, AI/ML engineers, and platform architects to deliver end-to-end solutions

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent or; or diploma in related technical discipline
  • Experience or understanding of programming languages(Python ), REST/SOAP services, databases (SQL, Oracle, mainframe a bonus), Cloud platforms (OCP as a bonus) and/or code management tooling (Github), Spring Boot, Elastic stack
  • Ability to hand-code all components
  • Strong proficiency in Python (data engineering, API development, automation)
  • A passion for simplifying and automating work, making things better, continuous learning, solving open-ended problems, improving efficiency, and helping others
  • Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment
  • Familiarity with Cloud platforms (OpenShift/OCP, Kubernetes)
  • Proficiency with Git/GitHub and modern development workflows
  • Ability to design and implement scalable data pipelines
