The Opportunity
This position is based in Abha field location within Abbott Point of Care (APOC).

Divisional Information:

Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key health and therapeutic areas, including infectious disease, cardiometabolic, informatics, and toxicology.  

Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:

1-Increase sales and market share of Abbott Point of Care Products.

2-Establishing strong relationships with a broad base of internal and external health care constituents (e.g., Nurses, Pathologists, Clinicians, Laboratory Professionals, POCT Coordinators, NUPCO, Medical supply, Lab directorate, etc.) acting in a friendly, respectful, adaptive manner and focusing on the needs and interests of others.

3-Keeping current on internal and competitive products and positioning by utilizing a variety of resources. Understanding and conveying information professionally and accurately.

4-Effective planning for and following through with short- and long-term results based on business trends by developing plans that include goals, action plans, time frames, and the appropriate resources.

5-Keeping current in market trends and competitors’ strategies.

Major Responsibilities:

1-Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

2-Conveying information clearly and concisely conveys ideas, answers questions, responds to others, and listens carefully to understand the message.

3-Positions products and services using appropriate resources and confident, convincing logic; tailoring sales approaches to meet customer needs by utilizing appropriate resources, handling disagreements and objections by exploring perspectives and tactfully addressing them.

4-Give instrument demonstrations to the customers. Solves instrument problems that occur during a visit right away.

5-Develops and implements plans for territory that include goals, action plans, time frames, and resources.

6-Full responsibility to manage and increase the business in his region.

7-Regularly tracks and reports progress against plan, redirecting efforts as necessary.

8-Completes all administrative tasks accurately and in a timely fashion. Collects information on competitors' sales, prices, benefits, and products

Accountability / Scope:

1-Sales growth of the territory and Market Share.

2-Ability to get involved and solve instrument and application issues immediately on the site.

3-Fully knowledgeable on products and customer needs.

4-Teamwork with representatives on other channels - corroboration of ideas and sales strategies.

5-Achieving deadlines.

6-Following Abbott policies and procedures.

7-Adequate and Accurate reporting.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences.

Preferred Qualifications:

1-Preferably with 1-5Years’ experience in sales, directly dealing with customers.

2-The candidate will be based in the Southern region.

3-Preferred to have industry knowledge.

4-Ability to adjust to a diverse cultural setup.

5-Ability of third box thinking and innovation.

6-High level of problem-solving skills and diligent follower of the policies and procedures of Abbott.

7-Has good computer experience.

8-Has a valid driving license.

9-Languages: Arabic and English.

10-Good presentation skills.
