Job Description Summary
The Senior Product Manager for the BWRX‑300 modular product line is a key contributor within the Product Management organization, responsible for driving the definition and execution of modular product strategies in alignment with business objectives, program commitments, and enterprise processes. This role focuses on Reactor Building (RB) structure, developing Diaphragm Plate Steel Composite (DPSC) modules and DPSC subassembly design to deliver lowest cost and optimized on-site construction sequences. Responsible for the end-to-end strategy, development, and site-readiness of the Reactor Building modular structural systems.
You will lead the "cradle-to-grave" lifecycle for DPSC components, ensuring that high-precision structural modules are designed for manufacturability and installed with documented technical rigor. This role requires driving clear program objectives, ensuring disciplined execution through established product development and gate review processes, and enabling informed decision‑making across technical, commercial, and operational functions.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- DPSC Strategic Leadership: Own the product strategy and execution for the Reactor Building DPSC system, managing the interface between structural design, material procurement, and field construction.
- RB Modularization & Installation Procedures: Lead the strategy for installation work packages, including lifting/rigging plans, fit-up tolerances, and welding procedures for DPSC sub-assemblies.
- Design for Construction: Collaborate with engineering to optimize DPSC module geometry, connection details, and assembly sequencing to reduce site labor and accelerate the construction schedule.
- Supply Chain & Quality Guidance: Support the DPSC supply chain, ensuring high-quality fabrication and on-time delivery of components. Ensure all fabrication and installation meet NQA-1 and relevant nuclear structural code requirements.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the central point of contact between Design Engineering, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Site Operations to resolve technical blockers and optimize the construction sequence.
- Risk & Schedule Management: Proactively identify risks related to DPSC lead times, heavy-lift constraints, or field installation fit-up issues. Develop and execute mitigation plans to maintain project milestones.
- Gate & Design Reviews: Lead cross-functional reviews for DPSC modules, ensuring design maturity, procurement readiness, and procedural compliance before moving to the next project phase.
- Continuous Improvement: Establish feedback loops from the construction site to the design and fabrication teams, ensuring "lessons learned" are incorporated into future product iterations and procedural documentation.
