Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Associate/Mid-Level Transportation Analyst - Dangerous Goods Specialist (Level 2 and Level 3) to join our BCA Outbound Operations team within Transportation, Warehousing, and Logistics (TWL) based out of North, Charleston, South Caroline, Seattle, Washington, and Everett, Washington!

The Transportation Analyst will support enterprise transportation and logistics across BCA. This role is critical to Boeing's supply chain health, enabling production and supporting various program needs. This position will include solving logistics issues for a variety of our commercial aircraft programs. You will effectively be communicating with customers internally and externally via phone and electronic channels, while adhering to Boeing expectations.

Position Responsibilities:  

  • Assists with interpreting and applying logistics policies, processes and methodologies to support business initiatives. 

  • Applies knowledge of logistics and transportation methodologies in support of organizational objectives. 

  • Prepares documentation to support routing and logistics functional requirements.

  • Performs domestic and international freight transactions in accordance with federal and regulatory agency guidelines Assists with and performs International freight transactions in accordance with Federal and Regulatory Agency guidelines. 

  • Collects and analyzes data and information from multiple sources in support of transportation and logistics business initiatives. 

  • Assists with a variety of support services including investigation of loss and damage claims to carriers.

  • Provides support for the development of the statement of work to secure cost-effective transportation services, analyzes carrier performance data for cycle time, costs and business review.

  • Interfaces with internal/external compliance organizations and responds to Customs and Border Protection inquiries for export control issues to ensure compliance with export regulations, federal regulations, Foreign Trade Regulations and the Boeing Compliance Offices.

  • Designs development of transportation plans and solutions.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): 

  • 1+ years of experience working in logistics or transportation

  • 1+ years of experience communicating with senior managers and executives, customers (internal and external), business partners / suppliers / subcontractors, and government representatives

  • 1+ years of experience with multi-tasking and working in a team environment

  • 1+ years of experience in a role that required strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • 1+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):  

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • 3+ years of experience in export shipment processing and compliance

  • 3+ years of experience with documentation and certification requirements of dangerous goods in transportation

  • 3+ years of experience with freight forwarding and/or transportation modes: FTL, LTL, International and Domestic Air Freight, Ocean, Small Parcel

  • 3+ years of experience in transportation management, data analytics, route planning, resolving problems, and providing a high-level of customer service

  

Typical Education/Experience: Associate (Level 2): Typically, 3 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Mid-Level (Level 3): Typically, 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Summary pay range: North Charleston, South Carolina - (Associate - Level 2) - $56,950 - $77, 050

Summary pay range: North Charleston, South Carolina - (Mid- Level - Level 3) - $72,250 - $97,750

Summary pay range: Seattle, Washington (Associate - Level 2) - $61,200 - $82,800

Summary pay range: Seattle, Washington (Mid- Level - Level 3) - $77,350 - 104,650

Summary pay range: Everett, Washington (Associate - Level 2) - $61,200 - $82,800
