Position Overview


Autodesk’s Agility Coaches in the Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) organization play a crucial role in partnering with cross-functional managers and development teams to drive excellence in software delivery. As a Agile Coach, partner with teams to drive continuous improvements in improving product roadmaps, quarterly planning, backlog refinement, and overall agility performance.

Reporting to the Director of PSET Agile Transformation, you will be part of a team of agility coaches dedicated to enhancing cross-functional performance across various levels, including vice presidents, directors, managers, and development team leads. Your broad expertise in software delivery will be key to influencing the business and driving meaningful change.

    As an Agile Coach, you will empower teams, foster collaboration, and guide the organization through its continuous journey of improvement. You are not just managing agile processes, you are transforming the way people work and think, ensuring that they remain flexible, data-driven, and aligned with the overall vision.

    Responsibilities

    • Strategic Impact: Leverage your comprehensive knowledge of software delivery to impact the business positively and drive agile transformations across multiple teams

    • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with department heads, functional managers, and team leaders to ensure teams align with strategic goals and continuously improve their processes

    • Coaching & Mentoring: Utilize your skills in product strategy, cross-functional design, road mapping, delivery planning, dependency management, defect tracking, Scrum, Kanban, and other agile disciplines to guide teams toward increased agility

    • Data-Driven Decisions: Employ a data-centered approach to assess team performance, provide insights, and drive continuous improvement

    • Team Engagement: While Autodesk follows a hybrid-first work model, this role will require regular face-to-face interactions with teams in India. You will also have opportunities for international travel to attend key meetings and facilitate team interactions

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience in Agile Coaching or related roles

    • Deep expertise in Agile/Scrum, Product Management, Program Management, and Software Development Methods

    • Experience with Data Science, Analytics, and Research roles and responsibilities

    • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and influencing skills

    • Proven ability to identify improvement areas within programs, projects, and scrum teams, and to lead incremental improvements

    • Ability to unify diverse perspectives and ideas, driving collaborative solutions

    • Experience working across international cultures is a plus

    • Ability to actively serve and support 8-10 scrum teams

    • Expert interpretation of agility and software quality engineering (SQE) related metrics

    • Advanced skills in JIRA configuration and reporting

    • Proficiency in curating workshop materials and documentation using tools like Confluence and others

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Scrum or Agile Coaching certification
