About VisioGen
VisioGen is ZEISS's high-growth AI initiative supporting ophthalmology practices with
human-verified workflows. We are live with US pilots and entering a scaled commercialization phase.
Role Summary
You will lead end-to-end product and engineering for a live AI platform—owning
roadmap, architecture, delivery, reliability, and team growth. This role requires strong
execution, technical depth, and a leadership style that builds high performance in a
regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Own product strategy and engineering execution for the VisioGen platform
across web, integrations, AI/ML, and operations tooling.
• Scale and develop the organization (product management, engineering management, solution architecture, AI/ML, QA, DevOps/SRE).
• Establish predictable delivery: quarterly planning, release governance, quality
metrics, and incident response.
• Partner closely with Clinical, Compliance/Security, Commercial, and Customer
Success to drive adoption and outcomes in the US market.
• Ensure privacy, security, and compliance-by-design (HIPAA today; global
readiness as applicable).
• Drive platform extensibility and integrations with practice management / EHR
ecosystems where required.
What Success Looks Like (6–12 months)
• Team scaled with strong managers in place; clear operating cadence and accountability.
• Improved release reliability (quality, uptime, latency, incident reduction) with
measurable SLAs/SLOs.
• Clinical/AI verification workflows matured (accuracy, safety, turnaround time),
reducing operational load.
• Successful expansion from pilots to repeatable US commercial deployments
with scalable integrations

Qualifications
• 20+ years in product + engineering leadership (scope and scale more important than years).
• Experience taking AI/ML-enabled products from pilot to scaled commercial deployment.
