The role
In your role as Automation Manager you will part of Global Operations team supporting Real-World Solutions business unit. You will lead programs and projects to automate global processes using workflows & RPA and help drive innovation and adoption of industry-leading technologies and solutions.
The role is ideal for people who quickly learn, apply technology, are passionate about automation, and who enjoy the thrill of delighting their customers and adding value. Strong technical skills are important—but equal emphasis is placed on operational experience, communication skills, flexibility, teamwork, and personal commitment to continuous improvement.
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
Responsibilities
• Program and Project Management activities in relation to the development of new and maintenance of existing automations
• Supports automation assessment via a consulting role
• Serve as a point of contact for RWS automation related questions. Together with automation developers able to find root cause of problems, propose a solution and implement
• Continuously look for improvement opportunities across the business unit
• Participate in adoption of technology solutions and process improvements
• Change-management advocate
• Develops and delivers training as needed
• Develops, implements and manages processes / best practices related to the delivery of process improvements and automations
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
• Demonstrated experience leading and successfully implementing cross-functional initiatives, automations and change-management programs with senior executive leadership visibility
• Fundamental understanding of the automation technologies, solutions and underlying IT Services
• Possess an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to provide flexible solutions to our clients and stakeholders
• Exceptional analytical, conceptual thinking and technical skills
• The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
• Excellent planning, organizational, project and time management skills
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to match stakeholder expectations to urgently deliver exceptional results
• Demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity; always seeking new approaches and challenging the organization to new levels of success
• Ability to make decisions, bringing clarity to disparate information to inform actions and drive results
• Ability to work through others to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline
• Pharmaceutical, biotech or other regulated industry experience preferred
