• Work collaboratively with other Customer Services teams, other analytics teams, product teams, other stakeholders with non-technical expertise, to efficiently and effectively deliver the next generation of solutions;
• Follow and improve the best practice frameworks for model development, monitoring and management lifecycle;
• Learn and consider the business requirements, governance processes and regulatory requirements regarding remediation events and help stakeholders understand data analysis assumptions, constraints and outputs
• Generate useful insights and presentations to showcase the work in an easy-to-understand manner to the stakeholders.
• Contribute to the build, test and documentation of tools used and ensure that they comply with the Model Risk Policy where applicable
• Manage the hygiene and quality of your analysis which includes documentation (e.g. processes, assumptions, risks on Wiki/Confluence/Teams), version control (e.g. GIT) and peer reviews
• Actively participate in our dynamic, agile team by supporting workload planning (e.g. sprint planning, sprint reviews, using Jira), working autonomously but collaboratively and suggesting and making improvements
• Risk accountability forms part of all roles, as everyone is responsible for managing risk and compliance

WHAT YOU WILL BRING 

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Advanced Analytics / Predictive Analytics / Forecasting, Data Science or Visualisation/ Reporting with a proven track record of value-driven deliverables.
• Proficient and comfortable with SQL.  Experience with one or more of Oracle, Redshift, AWS Glue is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in a scripting language. Python and/or Spark an advantage. R/SAS/PLSQL are also relevant.
• An understanding of Data Science and ML problems, concepts, algorithms is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset with willingness to learn and share.
• Financial industry experience (in Banking, Insurance, Superannuation, or similar) is desirable.
• A highly collaborative approach to facilitate a productive team dynamic as well as good stakeholder rapport.
