Batch Release Manager

The Batch Release Manager has responsibility for the Batch Document Review and Release processes and to supply fully compliant material with delivery of customer service whilst maintaining quality and safety standards for the area of their responsibility.

In this role you will:

  • Provide effective leadership of a Business Unit aligned Operational Quality team, to ensure that products released for sale have been manufactured and packaged in accordance with cGMP and licensing requirements.
  • Provide support and coaching for GMP, documentation errors, root cause analysis and CAPA for deviations across the site.
  • Liaising with other QA groups to ensure that all other aspects of testing and results verification have been completed before batch release.
  • Will support the resolution of any issues arising from deviations and verdict batches accordingly in line with QMS standards.
  • Ensure that Batch Documentation Review and Release operations are managed to deliver customer service and production schedule requirements within the budget control.
  • Management of the Batch Release team to include recruitment and selection, training and development, competency assessment, resource management and control, performance reviews, performance management, employee reward and recognition.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Graduate Level (Scientific discipline)
  • Incumbent should have appropriate level of Quality or Pharmaceutical experience.
  • Knowledge and application of the principles of Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Be able to demonstrate leadership qualities and understand people management requirements (personal development process, absence management etc.).
  • Have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence direct reports, peer group across disciplines and senior management at the site.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Operational Excellence (OE), including Continuous Improvement, skills that facilitate scheduling, standard work and process improvement. Computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office programs Excel/Power Point/Word/Teams, SAP.

About Worthing Manufacturing Site:

Manufacturing at the Worthing site is for antibiotics.  It is advised that you take this into consideration when deciding to apply for this position.
