Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Manager of Information Systems (IS) Applications to lead the application development teams for the Supply Chain Solutions Division at Medline. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of our company's software applications, ensuring they align with our business objectives and meet the needs of our users. You will also manage a team of application managers and collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Strategy and Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the Supply Chain Solutions application portfolios, aligning with business goals and priorities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Supply Chain Solutions application development teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage new applications or enhance existing ones.
  • Oversee the end-to-end application development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into functional specifications for the development team.
  • Ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality applications, managing resources, schedules, and budgets effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate application performance, security, and scalability, implementing enhancements and optimizations as needed.
  • Stay informed about regulatory and compliance requirements related to application development and ensure adherence to relevant standards.

Team Management and Collaboration:

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of people managers, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork among team members and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, such as infrastructure, security, and data management, to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of applications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners, managing contracts and service level agreements effectively.

Project Management and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Lead and participate in project planning, prioritization, and resource allocation activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including business leaders, users, and executive management, to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business units, offering strategic guidance and recommending innovative solutions to address their challenges and opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (5 years of management and team lead experience) in application development roles, with a focus on managing complex projects and leading teams.
  • Strong technical background and expertise in software development methodologies, programming languages, and application frameworks.
  • Experience with Power Platform and Power BI is required.
  • Working experience with enterprise systems and applications such as SAP, Outsystems, UiPath, and Autosys is required.
  • Familiarity with MS Azure or other cloud platforms is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and manage budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid understanding of IT governance, compliance, and security standards.
  • Proven ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment and manage change effectively.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$132,600.00 - $199,160.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
