The Technology Support Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Workplace Technology services provided to employees. This entails support across multiple platforms, functions and service partners. The role ensures service partner service levels are met and the delivery to all contracted outcomes.

Technology Support Specialist also works with internal and external teams to continually optimise the service delivered by understanding through data issues, problems and opportunities for delivering a service that exceeds our employees’ experience. You will also be key to supporting and approving successful project transitions into BAU, ensuring the relevant process updates are fit for purpose.

The Technology Support Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end delivery, management and coordination of providing support to Qantas Group Platinum and Gold users.  The Technology Support Specialist provides support for Qantas Group main premises in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and remote support for all other locations.  Technology Support Specialist may be dispatched to provide onsite support as necessary.

You’ll have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in IT Service Manage mentor operational roles
  • 2 + years relevant business domain and systems knowledge
  • Experience in Service Delivery for the following Services: End user computing, Devices and Mobility, Collaboration services including M365, Meeting Rooms, Managed Print, Active Directory / Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)/Entra, Microsoft 365, SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Teams, Sharepoint, Windows 10/Windows 11
  • Experience in Deskside support including VIP support experience
  • Experience supporting/directing on-site and off-shore Employee experience outsource vendor technicians
  • Remains proactive and takes prompt action to accomplish outcomes
  • Experience with vendor management from small medium suppliers to your Tier 1
  • Proven experience leading resolution of complicated user problems originating from highly-detailed, complex, integrated systems
  • Experience with transition management of initiatives into operations
  • Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills, proven ability to consider issues from a different perspectives and draw commercially sound recommendations
