About the Role

You will support young people aged 12 to 25 in meeting their physical, emotional, and social needs while also guiding them towards pathways out of homelessness. As part of the Check-In Team at Frontyard, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering efficient, effective, and hands-on therapeutic services, with plenty of opportunities to connect and engage in fun activities with young people.

This position will receive clinical support from the Senior Care Coordinator or the Senior OT Mental Health Care Coordinator within the Check In Program, and or ALERT. Operational leadership onsite will sit with Frontyard.

Classifications for this position will be:

  • Registered Nurse Grade 4A YW17 ($107,962 per annum pro rata)

  • Physiotherapist, Grade 2 VB1 - VB4  ($88,467 - $101,691 per annum pro rata).

  • Occupational Therapist, Grade 2 VF6 - VF9 ($88,467 - $101,691 per annum pro rata).

  • Social Worker, Grade 2 SC21 - SC24 ($88,467 - $101,691 per annum pro rata).


Your Contribution

  • Relevant nursing / allied health qualification with minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant acute, subacute or community setting.

  • Eligible for registration/membership with AHPRA.

  • Current Victorian Driver’s License

  • Current or willing to undertake Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check

About Healthcare for the Homeless and Frontyard services

This position is part of St. Vincent's Hospital's Health Care for the Homeless Program (HfH) which comprises several services that support clients that are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

The role is based at Frontyard Youth Services which is a specialist youth service located in Melbourne’s CBD. Frontyard aims to support young people aged 12 to 24 to meet their physical, emotional and social needs and to develop pathways out of homelessness. This includes but is not limited to providing 18 beds crisis accommodation service and drop in center housing multiple services working with young people across Greater Melbourne and throughout Victoria.
