Summary :

The Business Analyst III interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their business problems and needs. Gathers, documents, and analyzes business needs and requirements, and works to create report/visualization solutions for the business stakeholders.

Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Analyzes the business problem by gathering stakeholder information to specify requirements (technical, data, visual, delivery mechanism) for business solution. Estimates development effort and related timeline.

  • Designs, builds, tests, validates, and implements data solutions that deliver actionable insights through visualizations.

  • Equips key stakeholders and leaders with data and analysis to make informed decisions to improve operational performance.

  • Educates stakeholders on tool utilization and interpretation of data.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert in business and data knowledge for respective area.

  • Forms a business partnership with stakeholders for the purpose of creating shared expectations and maintaining open communication.

  • Manages scope, tasks, and resources to meet defined timelines. Escalates issues or barriers when appropriate.

  • Writes and maintains clear, concise requirement documents, reports, standards, plans, analysis, and specifications including metadata supporting data governance.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, statistics, business, or related field

  • Five years of experience in data collection and analysis, reporting and visualization tools, and database query tools


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance

  • Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Normally works in climate controlled office environment

  • Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space

  • Use of computers throughout the work day

  • Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and fingers
