Job Summary

 

We are looking for a Billingual Junior Software Engineer (14295) to join our dynamic and growing team. This position is aimed at final-year students or recent graduates in Systems Engineering or related fields, with 1-2 years of professional experience. The selected candidate will be responsible for collaborating in the development, support, and optimization of systems, using key technologies and tools such as SQL, UNIX, and XML, among others.

 

This position is open for Colombia. Selected candidate must be willing to travel to Bogotá for a 1-month intensive training period.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and maintain applications and systems using SQL, UNIX, and XML.
  • Collaborate on data integration projects and system optimization based on EDI industry standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, Idocs, proprietary formats).
  • Participate in the design and implementation of solutions using tools such as IBM WTX, ITX 10, and WMQ.
  • Provide support in troubleshooting technical issues and optimizing processes within the system.
  • Actively participate in continuous training and professional development.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Final-year student or recent graduate in Systems Engineering or related fields with 1-2 years of professional experience.
  • Technical knowledge:
    • SQL: Experience with queries and databases.
    • UNIX: Basic or intermediate knowledge of UNIX systems.
    • XML: Familiarity with the XML format and its use in system integrations.
  • Bilingual: Proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Preferred:
    • Knowledge of IBM WTX, ITX 10, and WMQ.
    • Knowledge of EDI industry standards and other data formats: ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, Idocs, and proprietary formats (Fixed Length, Delimited).
    • Previous experience in Logistics & Warehousing (1-2 years).

  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.
