Position Overview:

The Business Development Executive is tasked with business production for a group of new and existing Brokers. This role is fundamental in building a profitable book of business. The business development executive is able to move early-stage relationships to revenue-generating partnerships immediately. 

What you will do:

  • Build, implement and drive a distribution strategy that aligns with Cowbell’s overall business plan.
  • Excess production quota through proven distribution management.
  • Make an immediate impact with currently appointed brokers and establish new broker relationships.
  • Proactively on board new brokers.
  • Meet and manage weekly, monthly and annual activity metrics.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person meetings and presentations, building relationships. with account managers up to executive leadership.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person broker general cyber training sessions.
  • Follow up on new and renewal business accounts.
  • Be a point of accountability for distribution success.
  • Business travel as required within the UK.

What Cowbell needs from you:

  • A minimum of 3 years sales, broking or underwriting experience with a proven track record in growing new and existing client accounts.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated and results-oriented mentality. You take initiative to solve problems with high energy and urgency.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, high production environment.
  • Cyber, Tech E&O and/or Professional lines insurance experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong track record of customer service orientation.
  • Strong track record of being a team player.
