Responsibilities:

Transaction Processing

  • Create and maintain security master information for new and existing clients
  • Process automated and manual transactions in our accounting systems for liquid investments (equities, fixed income, mutual funds, cash), and illiquid investments (hedge funds, private equity, and other assets)
  • Research and process corporate actions and dividends

Pricing and Reconciliation

  • Price liquid and illiquid assets in client accounts
  • Reconcile cash and asset positions to clients’ custodians and fund managers
  • Reconcile realized and unrealized gains and losses to clients’ custodians
  • Perform daily, monthly, and ad hoc analyses and quality checks to ensure that valuations, performance, and other accounting details are accurately reported to clients

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide back office operational support to the Advisory and Research Teams
  • Improve and document processes and workflow

Qualifications:

Required

  • 2–5 years of experience in finance, operations, or portfolio administration
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Excel, familiarity with all other Microsoft Office products
  • High level of attention to detail, diligence, and self-motivation
  • Demonstrated history of taking initiative, and ability to learn quickly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)

Preferred

  • Strong knowledge of SS&C/Advent APX, Cogency, Backstop or similar portfolio management/accounting software
  • Exposure to and familiarity with: Equities, Fixed Income, Mutual Funds, Derivatives, etc., and Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds
  • Experience with web-based custodian platforms

Additional Information:

Base salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple reasons, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The expected base salary for the role will generally be between $70,000 and $85,000 per year at the commencement of employment, but the final salary offered may be outside this range based on these reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, base salary is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses, alternative incentive packages and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
