As a Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist on our team, you will utilize your specialized clinical knowledge and advanced skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments and treatment plans to care for patients of all ages, backgrounds, and needs, including providing therapy sessions virtually for behavioral health patients. Your work will directly impact their lives as you work to help them improve their overall well-being.
This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working remotely between 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments and treatment plans to patients.
Provide individual, group, family and crisis counseling.
Utilize a clinical focus across the mental health spectrum, from anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
Run group therapy three hours M-T 9-12 (in person group) with co-therapist.
Participate in the development and implementation of assessments based on interdisciplinary treatment plans.
Consult with team members, statutory/voluntary agencies and relatives to ensure compliance with the patient treatment plan.
Act as a liaison between patients, families, community support workers and facilities to obtain information and facilitate discharge planning.
Educate and provide resources to patients and families.
Supervise and/or train lower-level social workers, students or interns.
Process paperwork and complete clinical documentation.
Attend treatment groups.
Follow federal regulations and administrative tasks.
Develop individualized master treatment plans.
Follow up on referrals from outpatient providers.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field
Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with no record of substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports
Three years of experience in a behavioral health setting
Ability to concisely document clinical findings and patient needs in an electronic medical record while navigating a multi-specialized behavioral health environment and the ability to communicate across different electronic platforms and across a broad geographic provide base
No record of substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Physical Requirements:
A high degree of manual dexterity to produce materials on PC.
Normal or corrected vision.
Extensive sitting and frequent walking.
Occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.
