This rewarding opportunity will see you join the Mater Hospital in North Sydney as Clinical Nurse Educator in our Nolan Operating Theatre Department. This role will be part time, working 32 hours per week and will be pivotal in teaching and continuing quality improvement projects.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Essential Registration, Licence, Or Qualification Requirements:

  • Authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Bachelor of Nursing

OTHER ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sound knowledge of Department of Health Guidelines and Regulations, Workplace health and Safety, Infection Control and their impact on the delivery of care.
  • A commitment to the Philosophy, Mission, Values and Ethics and Code of Conduct of St Vincent’s Health Australia.
  • Commitment to continued professional development and undertaking further studies as identified as required for this position.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 or more years of Peri-operative Nursing experience or 4 or more years’ experience in the Day Surgery environment
  • High level communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Time management skills.
