As an intern in Micron’s Strategy and Business Operations organization, you will be immersed in critical business projects.  You will work as a contributing member of a project team, building solutions based on your own creative ideas with support from fellow team members and your supervisor.  You’ll also have the chance to interface with team members and senior leaders from other departments.  Your internship will give you broad exposure to business analytics applications at Micron and the opportunity to contribute in one or more layers of the analytical stack

 

 Projects: Create and Automate Performance to Plan for Product Development milestones, enhance Product Development Team (PDT) Playbook and enhance the automation of the New Product Introduction Status Dashboard/Report

 

“Performance to Plan” is the set of reporting features that measures overall program performances as compared to the original plan 

 

“PDT Playbook” is a set of Business Processes providing a detailed description of the activities that are being executed during the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) phases

 

“New Product Introduction Status Dashboard/Report” is a set of reports that are a package of information, statuses and dates that inform leaders and executives as to the progress of programs being executed with PLM

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Build dashboards and data visualizations to support the reporting of Product Schedules. Interact with cross functional teams to refine reporting/dashboards and ensure that the visualization identifies information that the business is seeking.

Analyze and document the existing process to publish the Performance to Plan report

Develop scripts to automate Performance to Plan Reporting and highlight risks and other areas of focus.

Provide training, documentation, and support to end users (Program Managers) on new tools and methodologies

Work closely with Program Management team to expand PDT playbook to all aspects and needs of the PMO to become the “one-stop-shop” reference tool

Review current PDT Playbook and seek input from PMO Team to identify and implement improvement opportunities

Establish a periodic Review Process to audit and ensure Documentation is up to date

Ensure PDT Playbook clearly outlines step-by-step roles, responsibilities, and expectations for PDTs

Further enhance/develop the New Product Introduction Status Dashboard/Report

 

Qualifications

Superb communication and problem-solving skills are required

Strong data visualization, aggregation, and analytical skills

Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint environment

Excellent programming fundamentals

Tableau, SQL, Microsoft BI Suite, REST API, and Python experience are a plus

Coursework in Project Management and/or Business Process Analysis is a plus but not required

Experience in the following processes:  Data Warehousing; Data Modeling; Data flow mapping; Source to target mapping; Requirements gathering and data analysis; Testing and data validation techniques

 

 Education

 Must be completing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Data Analytics. Must be a current student, must not graduate before December 2025.
