Position title: Sales Manager, Petromin - Saudi National Preferred

Position grade: EVP 6 – Sales Manager, Petromin

Reports to: GM Sales PN, KSA NSC

JOB PURPOSE:

Retail Sales:

  • Manage the Programs and Projects within the Sales Dep., including:
    • Program development based on the GM’s and team input.
    • Launching the programs serving both dealers.
    • Follow up and update the status and performance.
    • Foresee and escalate any anticipated risks and develop countermeasure plans.
  • Manage relationships with the Regional Director and sales staff of all branches in the kingdom.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews on Sales and Lead funnel KPIs with the Sales GM and field force team.
  • Manage relationship with NIC Sales Head and set business plan objectives, enhance Trade-in percentage, and develop stock sourcing and sales out channels, all whilst maintaining a main objective of developing brand RV.  
  • Develop Business Plans to meet Objectives in line with the Brand Strategy, Production Plan - wholesale forecast, Market Sales, Segment Share, & Market Rep to achieve Revenue & Profit growth.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description:

Performance Indicators:

Measure and track KPIs of Sales and lead funnels across all assigned branches to ensure a proactive approach to enhancing sales conversions by sales consultant, branch, and the overall region.

Facilitate communication between the NSC and dealerships, including:

  • Capturing dealership input on the target-setting process
  • Communicating targets, pricing and incentives programs, inventory recommendations, and dealership standards

Resolve issues and escalate to appropriate stakeholders.

Provide input to NSC teams to guide all decision-making involving dealerships, including:

  • Proposing dealership promotions and campaigns to the Marketing team
  • Recommending training programs to improve sales and service performance to the DND and CQ teams.
  • Assessing changes to network strategy to DND and CQ team

Align with the Aftersales Area Manager to share observations, coordinate calendars, and agree on an approach to manage dealership relationships.

Coordinate with DND and CQ teams to conduct dealership training and audits.

Collaborate with Sales and Aftersales teams to share best practices and provide support where required.

The Sales Manager, Petromin will play a crucial role in being able to use data to drive business development decisions that yields sustainable growth in the KPI’s assigned to them and thus supporting the development of Nissan's retail business in KSA.

  • NSC Sales, Aftersales, DND and CQ, and Marketing teams
  • KSA dealerships’ sales management

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Educational background, and qualifications:

Required: bachelor's degree

Experience, other skills:

Required: at least 4 years of work experience, with 2 years in automotive industry

Preferred: experience in KSA/GCC, automotive sector, experience in certified pre-owned/used car sales, and building new teams/organizations

Computer skills/languages:

Technical: MS Office (mainly Excel and PowerPoint)

Language: excellent communication skills in English and Arabic required

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of automotive industry sales & distribution
  • Understand dealer operations, Knowledge of market conditions & competitor environment.
  • knowledge of process management & impact on the bigger picture
  • knowledge & understanding of all other elements/areas/departments that impact the sales flow

Skills:

  • Play a consultative role with the dealer.
  • Strong presentation/communication / inter-personal & negotiation skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Understand key business principles (sales, finance, marketing, customer management, etc.) & the ability to practically apply these principles.
  • Incumbent must have the skill & competency to undertake any actions as an exemplary ambassador for Nissan & at the same time have empathy for dealers & their business issues.

Activities:

  • Accurate forecasting by model, by outlet every week
  • Focus on profit achievement & on ensuring sales of more profitable vehicles.
  • Monitoring dealer SSI & ensuring that the correct processes are in place to achieve the desired CS levels.
  • Timeous & value-adding completion of dealer performance reports on a weekly/monthly basis with tangible corrective actions that are measurable & can be followed up.
  • Active management of aged inventory & developing actions with the dealer/s to address any concerns.
  • Review dealer performance by model with corrective actions
  • Identify key indicators of opportunity areas in the dealer operation & provide the necessary insight & guidance to develop adequate corrective actions together with the dealer/s.
