Summary:

Equipment Technician is responsible for receiving, asset tagging, delivering, and returning of rental medical equipment. Equipment Technician is also responsible for all administrative and physical functions associated with equipment including maintaining all assets, owned and rented, on the Versus platform and developing/maintaining asset inventories, as appropriate, throughout the hospital facility for each unit. Coordinates with impacted stakeholders regarding the receiving and distribution of new assets.

Preferred Experience: Hospital inventory equipment/ supply chain. Computer proficiency preferred.

Onsite, Full Time, Days, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

Provides Versus reporting including utilization and inventory of equipment throughout the facility and helps establish continuous dialogue with Leadership to any trends or issues that need to be addressed.Responsible for asset tagging and asset maintenance, including battery replacements, of all equipment (owned and rented).Reviews, analyzes, and reports on rental spend; provides recommendations for rental reductions and opportunities to make purchases as a cost avoidance while demonstrating the benefit of doing so.Assists on various Versus reporting, employee and patient badging, and ad hoc projects. Performs additional duties as assigned.Responsible for all aspects of receiving, delivery and return process of rental equipment and newly procured assets.Actively engages with Department Leaders to understand equipment needs and make recommendations for optimal resource levels by unit; to include shifting of equipment, as needed by unit/department based on census and need. This includes tracking of all types of movement of equipment to ensure the ability to locate and return to areas as needed.Works with Supply Chain to assist with the coordination of any assets exiting the facility, including donation, disposal or transfer of assets to another entity in order to get the unusable assets out of the hospital.Receives and coordinates all incoming capital equipment.Working alongside Biomed and Facilities for all new equipment including the completion of entry/exit forms and annual PMs.Coordinates with Facilities Department the repair of any equipment assets (rented or owned) and assists with working with vendors to have these repairs expedited in order to get equipment operational and back to the end users as quickly as possible.
