What you'll do
In your new role, you’ll provide investment planning, transformation portfolio and design services, while partnering with a range of stakeholders to make sure an effective pipeline view of investment requirements is maintained, used, and kept under regular review. You’ll also be responsible for increasingly complex and critical elements of the portfolio.
It'll also be up to you to:
- Define, create and manage a multi-year strategic investment plan and make sure that it incorporates requirements of the budget
- Provide cost-benefit forecasts for current and future years, aligning to the strategic priorities
- Drive and develop a portfolio structure to provide appropriate governance, control and management of programme wide interdependencies, alongside our change standards
- Conduct regular reviews of the investment portfolio, challenge the status quo, and drive informed decision making about portfolio priorities
- Manage the review and approval process of the financial business case
- Define relevant, timely and accurate MI reporting to assist with the optimisation of strategic investment
The skills you'll need
To take on this role, you’ll need an appropriate portfolio management qualification.
You’ll also need:
- Knowledge and experience of portfolio management theories, models and practices
- Experience of delivering programmes in a global workforce, including working with suppliers and partners in a managed services model
- Experience of delivering portfolio management in a technology and IT function
