Overview of CommonLit

CommonLit is a nonprofit education technology organization dedicated to ensuring that all students, especially students in Title I schools, graduate with the reading, writing, communication, and problem-solving skills they need to be successful in college and beyond. We envision a world where all students get the opportunity to have a world class education. We operate an online reading program for grades 3-12, www.CommonLit.org, that is used by teachers in over 90,000 American schools.

The Opportunity

CommonLit is seeking a Lead Implementation Specialist to play a critical role in advancing school- and district-wide adoption of CommonLit 360. This role sits on the Professional Learning and Implementation team and is responsible for executing organizational strategy related to adoption, implementation, and long-term partner success.

The Lead Implementation Specialist will design, refine, and support implementation systems that enable school and district leaders to successfully lead transformation of ELA instruction. This individual will serve as a key connector across teams, ensuring a cohesive and successful implementation experience for partners. They will bring deep expertise in implementation science, change management, literacy content, and ELA pedagogy, and adult learning principles to ensure that CommonLit’s supports drive meaningful instructional impact.

This is a highly collaborative, cross-functional role that requires strong systems thinking, communication, and the ability to translate strategy into actionable support for diverse school contexts.
