Cloud Engineer

Description -

As a Cloud Engineer in our team, you will have the responsibility to develop and support HP’s cloud platforms. You will have the opportunity to grow your career through a variety of paths inside one of the world’s leading technology companies.

What you will do in this role:

• Work in tandem with other engineering teams to identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions for the company

• Define and document good practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure management • Guide development teams to build cloud competencies

• Ensure system performance, uptime, scaling requirements are met, while maintaining high standards of design and implementation

• Manage cloud environments in accordance to company security guidelines

• Apply and adopt DevSecOps good practices

What you need to be successful in this role:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree

• Between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience

• Technology skills: o Expertise in common AWS and/or Azure services

▪ AWS: IAM, VPC, EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, Route53, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.

▪ Azure: VNet, VM, Storage, Functions, DNS, Key Vault, WAF, Private Link, etc.

o Proficiency in containers

▪ Docker, Kubernetes

o Competent with:

▪ Linux

▪ Infrastructure as Code – Terraform

▪ Source control management – GitHub

▪ Continuous Integration – Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions

• Other traits:

o Some prior experience with programming (any language)

o Ability to work on multiple clouds (AWS and Azure)

o Conversant with network, storage, and access management

o Knowledgeable about cloud security and cloud cost optimization

o Experienced in designing distributed systems for high availability

o Good communication
