You will support the day-to-day operations of the packaging team by providing technical subject matter expertise on equipment setup and operation. Provide design and operational guidance for the continuous improvement of packaging systems and processes, including capital upgrades and installations.

Main Duties

  • Identify process improvements at both an operational and strategic level
  • Manage technical improvement projects with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare technical documents including diagrams and schematics
  • Manage the Packaging Tooling Resources and implement process improvements to improve tooling utilisation
  • Provide Quality inspection approvals as required, within area of responsibility
  • To maximise the cost effectiveness of packaging processes and resources in the manufacture of safe, pure and effective therapeutic products
  • Coordinate validation of packaging expansion projects and strategic initiative
  • Review technology and initiate innovative process improvements
  • Build and maintain packaging safety and GMP standards
  • Promote a safe and healthy workplace by complying with company instructions and processes, taking reasonable care to ensure your own safety and health and that of others, and to report any injury, hazard or illness
  • Positively contribute to a motivated and engaged workforce through effective communication, participation and teamwork
  • Maintain the required level of skill and competencies relevant for your job role and development
  • Ensure cGMP compliance by following company policies and procedures
  • Complete GMP documentation to cGMP standards
  • Report any deviations in processing or procedures immediately
  • Identify and participate in the implementation of CIs
  • Participate in OE workshops and training
  • Manage your work efficiently and cost effectively to meet Operations plans and targets
  • Other duties as required by the Packaging Area Managers/Packaging Manager of the role

About you

  • Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry highly regarded.
  • Experience in FMCG packaging form to fill systems including bottle filling / sealing / moulding, and downstream ancillary packaging equipment including labelling / coding / shrink wrapping / cartoning etc. is highly desirable.
  • Experience with and use of technical documentation such as URS, IQOQ, technical drawings will also be highly regarded.
  • Experience in Project Management of technical projects required.
  • Technical drafting for diagrams and schematics
  • A technical diploma in mechanics, electrical or fitting preferred
