The Senior Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC, leads and supports HVACR operations by coordinating work assignments, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and maintaining equipment quality standards. What you'll do:
  • Lead and participate in HVACR teams to coordinate and execute maintenance and repair work aligned with business priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and HVACR industry regulations by performing inspections, repairs, and refrigerant management.
  • Manage HVACR parts inventory, track usage, and develop supplier relationships to support maintenance operations.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain HVACR and Energy Management Systems to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Provide onsite training and technical guidance to enhance team skills and support continuous improvement.
  • Compile and report budget information, submit warranty claims, and develop scopes of work for HVACR projects.

What you'll bring:
  • Extensive experience in HVACR repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including preventive maintenance and equipment repair.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EPA regulations and compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
  • Proven ability to manage refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and coordinate with suppliers and contractors effectively.
  • Strong skills in inspecting HVACR installations, ensuring quality standards, and identifying deficiencies.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead teams, provide technical training, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in evaluating new technologies and implementing business solutions aligned with operational priorities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current EPA license OR the ability to obtain one
  • Vocational or Technical Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) certification and 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field. Type I/Type II Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Option 1: 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration. Option 2: 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and Refrigeration.
Universal EPA Certification.
