The Autonomous Enterprise and Wafer Fab Sustainability team are seeking a talented, dedicated and multidisciplined Analyst to join our team of experts. 

Your mission will be to assist in the design and simulation of the next generation of physical automation systems (i.e. cobots, mobile robots, overhead transport systems) for our semiconduction wafer fabrication facilities.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Collaborate with Internal and external teams to define automation requirements.
  • Ability to contribute to the team's brainstorming sessions and propose creative solutions for various automation challenges and opportunities.
  • Design, model, and simulate proposals using relevant simulation tools.
  • Conduct feasibility and prototype testing to validate designs and proposals.
  • Create documentation, including system manuals, procedures, and technical reports.
  • Implement and optimize control strategies to ensure efficient material flow and minimize downtime.
  • Simulate robotic systems, conveyors, and automated carriers.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Work on continuous improvement projects to enhance automation performance and throughput.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in mechatronics and related fields.

Qualifications & Related Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computation Physics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of process control principles and data acquisition systems
  • Expert knowledge of a programming language (e.g. C#, Java, Python etc.)

Advantageous Skills and Experiences

  • Maintenance of physical equipment
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining physical automation solutions.
  • Familiarity with wafer carriers, transport mechanisms, and track and trace technologies
  • Knowledge of SEMI standards and protocols for semiconductor equipment communication
  • Experience with CAD software to create, review or refine or review designs.

The wage range for a new hire into this position is $58,400 to $80,300.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, training, external market data, internal equity, or other bona fide factors.

  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
