THE ROLE:

The McKesson Private Label Quality Compliance intern will play a key role in supporting the Quality compliance department achieve their business goals.  McKesson Private Label will support this individual during their internship so that they develop key skills and experience that that will set them up for success in their future career.

This role is an important position within the McKesson Private Label Quality organisation in Cork.  The successful candidate will get the opportunity to sample all aspects of McKesson Private Label Quality organisation with full training provided, along with varied desk based and project work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support key quality projects to drive process optimization
  • Optimise the product complaint process and implement improvements
  • Assist in the drafting and management of quality documents e.g. SOP’s, specifications and validation protocols/reports
  • Work within the Quality organization to support product complaint activities
  • Provide quality oversight of manufacturing suppliers by supporting deviation review
  • Involved in continuous improvement projects that impact quality operations
    • Data analytics
    • QMS system integration
  • Report reconciliation and monthly metrics
  • Daily operation of the Medical information enquiry
  • Provide operational support to team members

REQUIREMENTS:  

3rd year science student (Chemistry/Biology) course with exposure to Laboratory instrumentation.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.  In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
