We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to be responsible for managing an effective and efficient operation of the financial reporting and accounting function.

This role is crucial in ensuring the financial administration of the entity, including the ledger management, administrative organization and application management in order to provide the business with accurate and reliable financial information and external financial statements.

 

About The Role: Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities:

·       Manages accounts payable, accounts receivable and the maintenance of the general ledger, including account reconciliations.

·       Prepares and/or reviews projections of accounting data to show effects of proposed changes on income and financial condition of the OpCo

·       Ensures timely and correct financial disclosures for internal and external reporting

·       Monitors the debtors and determines the liquidity planning in cooperation with the Treasury Manager

·       Ensures appropriate treasury and tax accounting when applicable, in cooperation with the relevant managers

·       Manages the reporting & accounting (sub)department and provides operational leadership and coaching to the staff

·       Drafts working instructions for the staff in accordance with Nutreco’s financial policies and procedures

·       Follows all IFRS developments closely and implements new or revised accounting policies and procedures

·       Prepares (financial) audits, ensures all relevant financial information is available for internal and external Auditors

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

·       A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or any other related area

·       At least 5 years of experience in a similar role and IFRS knowledge

·       Experience using Microsoft Office tools.

·       Fluency in English and Spanish and effectively communicating and networking with business and different stakeholders.

·       Soft skills like analytical strength, organization, collaboration, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
