WORK ARRANGEMENTS: This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

Senior Consultant, Solution & Design

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Solution & Design Consultant to join our Innovation Center of Excellence for claims and operations at The Hartford. As a Senior Solution & Design Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of generative AI capabilities and setting strategic direction for AI initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions that enhance business processes and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of generative AI capabilities to transform business processes and services.

  • Develop and execute strategies for integrating generative AI into various business functions.

  • Design and deliver training programs to upskill teams on generative AI and prompt engineering.

  • Create and refine design methodologies to ensure effective deployment of AI solutions.

  • Develop measurement methodologies to assess the impact and effectiveness of AI initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and develop business-centric solutions.

  • Communicate complex AI concepts and strategies to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

  • Act as an advocate for innovation within the organization, promoting a culture of experimentation.

  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies that could benefit the business.

  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and feedback from various business units.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of strategy/optimization experience with a focus on leveraging data science and technology to drive business value.

  • 2+ years of experience in Claims environment preferred.

  • Experience in implementing generative AI capabilities and setting AI strategy within a business context.

  • Strong background in training and developing teams with a focus on AI-related skills, including prompt engineering, a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Experience in developing and utilizing measurement methodologies to evaluate business outcomes.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Adaptable to evolving business requirements and priorities.

  • Capable of independently managing projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.

  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Eager to embrace new challenges and acquire new skills as needed.

  • Possesses strong technical expertise and a solid understanding of leveraging technology to enhance business processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$105,920 - $158,880
