Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Staff Risk Analyst will support Walmart’s External Party Risk Management (EPRM) program by providing high-quality data analysis, reporting, and insights to help ensure external risks are managed effectively and efficiently. This role sits within Risk but operates primarily as a data analyst, partnering closely with Risk, Compliance, Procurement, and Technology teams to analyze risk data, align metrics, support system integrations, evaluate solution providers, and inform remediation decisions Key Responsibilities
  • Perform end-to-end data analysis on external party risk data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve risk management processes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and recurring analytics that provide visibility into risk posture, remediation status, and operational performance.
  • Analyze data to assess whether current risk management approaches are operating as intended and delivering efficient outcomes.
  • Support the definition and ongoing maintenance of key risk and performance metrics, aligned with related teams across Walmart.
  • Partner with technology and software engineering teams to support data integration across risk tools and enterprise systems.
  • Analyze third-party risk management solutions and providers, including performance, coverage, and cost, to support data-driven vendor decisions.
  • Support the analysis and documentation of remediation thresholds, prioritization logic, and escalation triggers based on risk and performance data.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for risk and business stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of reporting, metrics, and analytical processes within the risk organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4–6 years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, or a related role.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Demonstrated experience developing metrics, dashboards, and recurring reporting.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional partners and translate business needs into analytical outputs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting risk, compliance, audit, or third-party risk programs.
  • Experience working with data from multiple systems or platforms and supporting integrations.
  • Experience analyzing vendor or solution performance and cost data.
  • Familiarity with external party or third-party risk management concepts.
  • Experience working in a large, complex enterprise environment.

Herndon, Virginia US-10710: The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00 - $264,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-09050: The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
