Software Engineer – Test and Verification (Onsite)

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Software Engineer – Test and Verification in Hazelwood, Missouri for the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program.  The Tomahawk program continues to grow and expand as a relevant deterrent against adversaries across the globe and is employed by multiple military organizations.  This program is expected to remain in active service for the foreseeable future.

The successful candidate for the role of Test & Verification will play a crucial role in the design, development, and completion of test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality for the Tomahawk program, while adhering to strict government regulations. You will have the opportunity to partner with stakeholders to review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability, enabling continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of safety critical software. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes. Additionally, you will perform software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Set up and configure test environments
  • Execute test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems
  • Identify and report defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during the testing process
  • Provide test results and feedback on software design and functionality

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Hazelwood, MO Boeing facility.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • VB.NET or C#.NET
  • SQL or other relational database
  • Unit testing frameworks like xUnit, jUnit, or nUnit

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • C++
  • Windows Environment (Windows 10/11, Windows Server)
  • Project Management Tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
  • Azure DevOps Pipelines or other CI/CD tools
  • Agile
  • Strong mathematical analysis skills or STEM degree

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualification, as well as market and business considerations.  Summary base pay range $98,400 - $123,000
