About the team:

eBay Live is a new way to sell on eBay, where sellers and buyers interact live on video. eBay sellers build buyer trust, expand their customer base, and grow repeat business through consistent and engaging live streams on eBay Live. eBay buyers can view, chat, ask questions, give feedback, vote, and buy online during eBay Live selling.

We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Manager, Strategy & Operations to join our rapidly expanding eBay Live program! In this role, you will play a crucial part in scaling the program and driving its success. You will be responsible for managing strategic initiatives, operational planning, and the execution of programs that enhance the eBay Live experience and contribute to its growth.

What you will accomplish:

• Concept, develop, and operationalize strategic programs for eBay Live (eg, seller and buyer incentives, recurrent programming, seller onboarding), partnering with cross functional teams to stand up brand-new functions and programs that accelerate GMV growth for eBay Live

• Work alongside data science and other analytics partner teams  to build business cases, size opportunities, set up A/B tests, and measure ROI for our Live-specific programs 

• Build competitive landscape maps for Live features, incentives, and programs, compile consumer insights, and translate into roadmaps and strategies for our business unit

• Manage bi-weekly steering committee updates, weekly reporting, support our planning cycles, budgeting, headcount and opex in partnership with our finance director. 

• Support our business unit leader on strategic projects

What You Will Bring:

• At least 6 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 2 years in consulting, banking, corporate strategy/development, or other similar work, ideally within the ecommerce or media industries.

• A top-tier MBA is preferred, although not required if substituted by significant relevant professional experience.

• Basic financial model skills are required

• Strong analytical skills and a proven track record of translating insights into actionable strategic plans.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience in managing cross-functional projects and teams.

• A dynamic, proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
