Job Description

As we continue through a period of growth, HedgeServ is searching for future leaders who can make an immediate impact on our already successful team. We're seeking college graduates who are decisive, energetic, and self-starting. 

The Corporate Action team is responsible for checking all Corp actions that are sent to HSV from external vendors & performing checks to the market to ensure accuracy of information. Acting as a support to internal teams, all while looking to grow service offerings to clients for voluntary corp actions.

A successful candidate will assume considerable responsibility within six to twelve months, serving as a central point of contact for Nav & MO teams on CA issues, helping on-board new clients with the guidance of senior team members, and participating in cross-team projects all being possibilities. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for participating in various initiatives and projects within Corporate Action. Take a lead role in increasing efficiency and minimize risk.

  • Work with the client, internal teams and brokers to ensure Corporate action breaks are verified efficiently to mitigate risk and meet client deliverables 

  • Corporate Action Research, Processing, Support and Communications: Involvement in the entire corporate action (CA) life cycle for both voluntary and mandatory corporate actions

  • Be responsible for preparation & reconciliation of dividend rec’s to brokers. Including full resolution from querying PB to analyzing common reasons for breaks

  • Confirming receipt of daily vendor Corp action files & investigating failures

  • Deal with voluntary corporate action election provider to ensure accuracy & timely delivery

  • Liaising with third party vendors to investigate issues raised by clients or teams.

  • Analysis of existing CA process’s completed across client teams for development Initiatives. To include investigation of manually touched actions by teams

Pre-Requisite Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a Corporate action or Middle office/NAV role 

  • Swift MT564-568 knowledge is a distinct advantage

  • Industry platform knowledge: Bloomberg, ETRAN desirable, SQL

  • Exposure to various financial products. Equities/CFD’s, Options, Bonds

  • Intermediate level of Excel is required 

  • Clear and persuasive communicators, who can articulate their actions, identify root causes, and suggest improved ideas
