POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Multi-Credit Portfolio Analyst will serve as the primary reporting team member on all portfolio reporting and analyses across the multi-credit funds managed at Apollo, which comprise ~$15bn of AUM across. The Portfolio Analyst will play an integral role within Apollo Credit, working closely with the senior partners, portfolio managers and other professionals across the firm.

In this role, the candidate will spearhead all portfolio reporting, in addition to providing all facets of portfolio management support- including allocations, performance attribution, and day to day management of the funds. They will work across the various asset classes we cover including both IG vs. HY, public vs. private assets, and corporate vs. structured borrowers.

Primary Responsibility:

• Fund modeling for individual commingled funds and separately managed accounts, both existing and prospective

• Compile weekly, monthly & quarterly portfolio monitoring process and ongoing analytics to track portfolio construction and performance across multi-credit universe

• Assist senior portfolio managers with ongoing allocation and portfolio evaluations

• Work on monthly Multi-Credit Committee, comprised of senior credit partners, by putting together necessary materials and disseminating results related to rel val and consensus portfolio construction

• Generate customized client / investor reporting for both internal and external distribution

• Track existing and prospective investment activity across mutli-credit and support the portfolio management function as needed

• Assist senior team members in responding to specific client requests

• Assist the team with additional ad hoc projects and requests as needed

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from undergraduate institution with a record of academic achievement

• The individual should have experience in the financial markets and a background in finance with working knowledge of portfolio accounting as it relates to investment P&L and portfolio performance

• Basic understanding of the capital markets and investment metrics, including a familiarity with fixed income markets

• Strong analytical and technical aptitude

• Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively alongside senior members of the Credit business and across the firm

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Blackmountain Everest, Sungard VPM, Business Intelligence tools

• Team player with strong work ethic and who excels in a rigorous and fast-paced work environment
