Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Associate Manager to lead our Ruby on Rails development team. You will be responsible for both hands-on development and team coordination, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable web applications using the elegance and power of the Ruby on Rails framework

Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor: a team of 3-4 Ruby on Rails developers., providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards, lead people review discussion and define growth path.
Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using the Ruby on Rails framework, writing clean, efficient, and maintainable Ruby code.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Managers, Designers, QA, DevOps) to define project requirements, prioritize features, and deliver functional solutions within established timelines.
Manage project documentation, including issue and delivery trackers, and set/manage client expectations for project output.
Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic and manage third-party API integrations.
Optimize application performance, resolve bugs, and identify/fix bottlenecks in existing systems.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and Ruby on Rails advancements, driving their continuous adoption into the team's design and development processes.
Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.


Professional & Technical Skills:
Proven experience 12 - 15 years in full-stack web development and around 3-4 years in Management, with significant professional experience using the Ruby on Rails framework.
Strong proficiency in Ruby programming language and a deep understanding of the Rails ecosystem, including MVC architecture, commonly used gems, and libraries.
Strong Proficiency in Python
Strong Proficiency on working with orchestration and configuration management tools Puppet/ Ansible/Chef etc.
Experience in a leadership or management role, with the ability to manage team performance and motivate team members.
Expertise with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including database design and optimization.
Proficiency with front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and potentially front-end frameworks like React or Angular (a plus).
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and software development best practices.
Experience working with REST APIs and RPC service patterns
Experience with message queues
Experience with version control systems (Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)


Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 10 years of experience in Ruby on Rails.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
