SVP Decisioning
As the SVP of Decisioning you will support the EVP of Decisioning, shaping how current and prospective client perceive dentsu’s Marketing Effectiveness practice—simplifying complexity, instilling confidence in our capabilities, and championing innovative approaches to modern measurement. In this role, you will represent dentsu across three core areas: driving external growth, advancing internal partnerships, and collaborating with key vendors to shape industry leading measurement solutions. You’ll also be responsible for setting the tone of the wider Marketing Effectiveness teams learning agenda and trainings.
Our Decisioning organization is expanding rapidly, increasing both the breadth and impact of our client work. Your mission is to turn data into a strategic asset across the full media and marketing landscape, working closely with agency and Decisioning leadership to reinforce dentsu’s position as a market innovator.
You bring deep expertise across the evolving media, data, and technology ecosystem, using advanced tools and analytics to solve complex client challenges. You will collaborate with experts across data science, engineering, analytics, strategy, and planning—leveraging your influence to drive innovation and elevate our Decisioning capabilities.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in media measurement, adtech/martech, identity solutions, people based marketing, and cross channel analytics. You excel at crafting compelling narratives for new business, have quantitative rigor, understand data activation, and possess the executive presence to work directly with senior clients and internal leaders.
Profile
We're looking for a high-energy collaborator who is experienced working across complex pieces of business. The candidate is required to have proven experience building strong relationships with both internal teams and clients. With business acumen and client charisma the candidate will navigate and understand the client's culture, business objectives, and media strategy, and will have an appetite for innovation.
Responsibilities
Oversee tools, technology and platforms utilized for the client working with internal and external partners
Lead agency development efforts for analytics, including new and organic business pitches
Drive process and procedures to support efficiency and consistency
Drive strategic thinking and leadership for data analytics, insights and innovation
Develop close working relationships with Agency leadership
Help to set the vision for audience, competitive, measurement, reporting, and analytics across all lines of business
Support and drive the client’s strategic philosophy for data and a particular strength in “test-and-learn” measurement and optimization
Requirements
12+ years relevant Media Analytics experience
Communication & Relationship building: Client facing experience within media agencies, manage the analytics business for a portfolio of clients
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to convey and package technical findings in simple terms
Very strong interpersonal skills, can collaborate across many functions and build bridges of trust and mutual respect
Management & Leadership: Agency departmental leadership ability
Executive stakeholder management & vision setting
Demonstrated thought leadership within the digital marketing or analytics industries
Act as the senior-most point-of-contact for analytics, adapting to business challenges with agility and direction
Mentor and develop skill-set of team
Global business management exposure
Media Expert: Possesses understanding of media planning and buying, with a focus on media metrics
Analytics & Data Storytelling: Analytics experience within integrated or digital communications or media agency preferred
Experience with Data Visualization & Storytelling
Drive the efforts to improve our measurement capabilities, such as enhancing methodology and establishing process on in-channel and cross-channel incrementality, effectiveness and efficiency
Tidy Data & Databases: Understanding of relational databases and programming languages (e.g., SQL, R, or Python)
Experience with data sourcing, evaluation, onboarding and integration
Be mindful of privacy and security: ensure that data handling meets legal and ethical standards to protect the agency and customers and their data
Quantitative: Working knowledge of machine learning, statistical testing, & regression modeling
Qualitative: Familiarity with attitudinal surveys methods
Ad/MarTech Knowledge: Demonstrates understanding of Ad/MarTech landscape across digital, mobile, etc. and their advantages/limitations
Experience with Ad Tech platforms including, DoubleClick (DBM, DCM) Adobe (Analytics, AMO, AAM) Marin and Prisma
Understanding of media and digital reporting tools, familiarity with data sets, tools and vendors including but not limited to IAS, DMPs, Nielsen DAR and other media performance, viewability/valid/on target and audience reporting platforms and tools
Project Management: Proficiency in a Project/Product Management
The Basics: Proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel is required

The annual base salary range for this position is $217,500 - $263,062. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
