We are seeking an engineer to join our development team in support of the Allegro product line. You will be responsible for PCB and IC Package physical design tool verification, working with multi-functional teams to create new flows and design methodologies. Our multi-faceted team is comprised of experts in: MCAD, Signal Integrity, Thermal, Logical Capture, PCB Design and IC design packaging. This position is responsible for the verification of the Allegro users experience, to ensure our products exceed expectations.

Key Qualification

  • Hands-on experience in printed circuit design (5 years min.) proficient in Cadence Allegro.
  • Knowledge and practical use of high-speed layout constraints (differential pairs, relative delays, net scheduling etc.)
  • Hands-on knowledge of Design Rule Checks for Manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Desirable skills or awareness

  • Familiar with Cadence Concept HDL, System Capture or Capture for schematic creation and system integration
  • IC packaging layout experience: wire bond, flip chip, stacked, chiplet etc.
  • Understand crosstalk mitigation, EMI/RFI, PCB/package resonance concepts.
  • SI/PI tools (XtractIM, PowerSI, HFSS, Q3D, etc.), package model extraction, S-parameters and RLGC model.
  • Understanding of Cadence product licensing methods
  • Exposure to Unix environment, scripting languages (PERL, Python, TCL and or shell) and methodology.
  • Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure or Containers.
