F5’s Data Accelerator team is seeking an accomplished Manager of Data and Business Analysts with a passion for data-driven impact and a proven ability to lead and elevate a team of skilled data professionals. This role will be instrumental in building and scaling internal data products and delivering business insights that enhance decision-making, revenue, operational efficiency, and strategic planning across the organization. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision, business acumen, technical expertise, and a track record of successful project leadership, all aimed at leveraging data as a core asset for the company’s ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts, from entry-level to senior analysts, promoting an innovative, results-driven culture.
  • Cultivate team growth through structured feedback, targeted training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Establish a stakeholder-focused, people-centered process to ensure satisfaction and alignment with business objectives.
  • Champion a collaborative environment, encouraging knowledge sharing, data literacy, and teamwork.

Data Strategy & Vision

  • Define and execute a strategic roadmap for data products aligned with F5’s business needs and growth strategy.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, engineering teams, and senior leadership, to understand and translate business requirements into effective data solutions.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making throughout the organization, ensuring alignment between data initiatives and overall business objectives.
  • Develop and implement best practices to streamline and enhance the team’s delivery on data strategy and vision.

Data Product Development

  • Drive the end-to-end development of internal data products and tools, including dashboards, reporting systems, and analytics platforms, to serve multiple business units.
  • Prioritize and manage project timelines, scope, and resources to ensure the timely and impactful delivery of data products.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of data, supporting ongoing business intelligence and strategic planning.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy

  • Act as a trusted partner to stakeholders, translating data insights into solutions that address key business challenges.
  • Advocate for data literacy and promote best practices in data usage, fostering an organization-wide understanding of data as a strategic asset.
  • Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, set project priorities, and communicate progress.

Technical Oversight & Governance

  • Provide hands-on technical guidance in areas such as data modeling, data visualization, and analytics methodologies, ensuring the team’s technical approach aligns with industry best practices.
  • Ensure team members are proficient with modern data tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau) and continuously enhance their technical skills.
  • Lead data governance initiatives, ensuring all data products meet security, privacy, and compliance standards.

Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement

  • Drive process improvements to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting efficiency, fostering a high-impact and scalable team.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to define and develop reusable business data models that enable efficient data curation.
  • Champion automation and streamline analysis workflows, increasing the impact and scalability of the team’s output.
  • Establish a Certified Enterprise Dashboard program across F5, promoting consistent, high-quality data insights.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.

  • Experience:
    • 5-7 years in data analysis or a related field, with 2-3 years in a management or leadership role overseeing diverse teams of data professionals.
    • Demonstrated experience leading data product development in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and delivering data solutions with measurable impact.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise with data analysis tools (SQL, Python/R, Excel) and data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI); familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is advantageous.
    • Strong foundation in data modeling, analytics, and data governance best practices.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities, capable of fostering relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strong project management expertise, including experience with Agile or iterative development methodologies and mentorship in project management best practices.
    • Ability to navigate complex business problems, translating them into actionable, data-driven solutions.

The annual base pay for this position is: $133,378.00 - $200,066.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
