We are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join the Tools Engineering Team within the DE&ET Business Operations organization. Job Summary:

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for leading operations-based projects for a product or service related to adoption, usage, issue management. Contribute changes to customer issues, documentation, or technical projects with no mentoring. Providing customer feedback regarding process or workflow improvements. Work closely with engineering partners on resolving customer issues.

The role requires flexibility, creativity, and leadership. Innovative thinking and the ability to adapt and overcome complex and/or confusing situations are necessary skills. You will be expected to work iteratively and collaboratively in a team environment but may be expected to work alone in some cases. You will participate in technical interviews, be called on to advise other members of the business as a technical subject matter expert where applicable and will be expected to improve and develop your skills and knowledge constantly. You will be expected to use good, sound judgment when making decisions. You will be required to take initiative actively and be proactive in pursuing solutions that are in line with executing the vision and intent of your leadership while providing strong support to deliver their initiatives.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

This will be a critical role to support the ongoing technology roadmap, resource and capacity management, and delivery (GPM) reporting efforts in Airtable. There is a need to re-architect these airtable bases, and leverage a unified data model to enable stakeholders to better collaborate and align on reporting and insights for the organization. In addition to the re-architecture effort, this role will provide ongoing administration and data governance assistance for stakeholders of the technology roadmap and resource and capacity planning bases. The person in this role will serve on the larger data utilization governance committee for DE&ET Business Operations.

Some of the functions of this role include:

  • Designing best solutions for data integrations in Airtable

  • Serving as key touch point for stakeholder

  • Working with engineers to architect solutions and communicating back to customers

  • Facilitating change management for scalability and data integrity

  • Coordinating with GIS to verify that data sets leveraged in Airtable integrations are vetted for security and privacy concerns

  • Serving on the data utilization governance committee for DE&ET

  • Configuring user group access to data sets in Airtable

  • Solutioning for automation between Airtable bases

  • Aligning all business operations Airtable solutions with the overall unified data model leveraged for DE&ET

  • Scripting in Airtable where appropriate and needed for automation

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in customer relationship management, application support, or development

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training or work experience

  • Leadership experience with agile projects

  • Experience coordinating large-scale, complex projects

  • Broad technical knowledge (reaching subject matter expertise in a few key areas in software engineering)

  • Expertise with Airtable scripting, Airtable custom integrations and react scripting

  • Expertise with one or more cloud providers and infrastructure development in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; hands on DevOps experience with, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Docker

  • Expertise working with or authoring GraphQL APIs or other server-based request frameworks

  • Expertise working full stack MERN

  • Experience with all aspects of MongoDB Atlas including search indexes, vector embeddings, aggregation pipelines, sync, functions and custom resolvers

  • Experience working with high-performing teams using Agile and Lean methodologies and frameworks

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Care about your craft and have opinions about the “right” way to do things with technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline is highly desirable

  • Experience working with vendor teams to deliver high quality results

The hiring range for this position in Seattle, Washington and New York is $129,900 - $174,100 per year, and in Los Angeles, California and Bristol, Connecticut is $124,000 - $166,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
