Roles and Responsibilities
As a product leader, your role is divided into four main fields:
Knowledge
Support product specialists.
Be the "go-to person" and general expert in your domain & plan training.
Support tendering, execution and warranty. Gain feedback/ information to develop product features.
Compile technology trends and competitive solutions from product specalists and market. Predict future product needs.
Perceive the control platform a repeatable product, with standard components and processes
Maintain
Maintain tools and licenses, validate and instruct proper use.
Revision management & communication ensuring LEAN learnings are applied and ensure alignment to the standards.
Co-ordinate obsolescense management
Support quality issues and preventitive actions
Prepare presentation and training materials
Validate
Perform clause-by-clause analysis on tenders, validating baseline deviations and additional works/costs/risks at all stages
Contribute on the yearly Return of Experience on the CBC template improvements
Evaluate features as ”one-of-a-kind” or ”core product”. Raise larger topics to product owner
Develop
Propose pre-assessed NPI future needs to Product Leaders to feed the MGPP
Propose product roadmap to Product Leaders, specifying the needs -focus on innovation, differentiation, reliability and cost
Cost & labor optimization
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Control Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience working with real-time control systems, industrial automation, embedded systems, or similar technologies.
Strong understanding of:
Real-time control concepts
Systems integration and interoperability
Software development lifecycle and agile methodologies (Scrum etc.)
Ability to break down complex technical topics into clear, actionable requirements and priorities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
Proven experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a technical environment.
Experience in STATCOM and SVC technologies.
Familiarity with standards and practices related to safety-critical or high-availability systems, including cyber security regulations.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and control platforms.
