The Role

Our team is looking for a hands-on Senior Software Architect with deep experience designing scalable, cloud-native, and AI-augmented systems. You’ll play a central role in evolving our architecture toward modern, service-oriented, and intelligent applications built on Microsoft Azure and powered by emerging AI capabilities across the major cloud and AI platforms. We deliver enterprise-class, hosted solutions that span multiple public clouds and serve hundreds of thousands of end-users. It’s a strong opportunity for a motivated architect who’s passionate about modern software design, cloud transformation, and applying generative and agentic AI to real business problems.

At CCC, you’ll work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, AI/ML, and Software Development teams in an agile environment to deliver secure, resilient, and intelligent cloud applications at scale — aligned to clear business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and evolve cloud-native architectures across the full platform stack — compute, API management, messaging, eventing, and data  primarily on Microsoft Azure (e.g., App Services, Container Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Azure SQL); equivalent AWS services welcome, Azure preferred.

  • Define and deliver predictable, resource-oriented REST APIs with a strong focus on performance, security, and developer usability.

  • Apply microservice and domain-driven design (DDD) approaches to break large business domains into well-bounded services.

  • Apply modern architectural patterns (e.g., event-driven, CQRS, serverless) for scalable and maintainable solutions.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to advance API-first development and DevOps best practices.

  • Produce and present architecture artifacts (sequence diagrams, domain models, data flow diagrams, AI workflows, and cloud blueprints) for both engineering and executive audiences.

  • Provide technical leadership on cloud modernization, legacy-to-microservices migration, AI-readiness, and platform performance.

  • Embed security and compliance practices across designs, including identity management, access control, and encryption.

  • Work with product and data teams to integrate AI and Generative AI capabilities (e.g., Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock / AgentCore, or comparable platforms) into core products and help drive AI-powered automation across the platform.

  • Lead POCs that explore AI-driven automation, agentic patterns, API innovation, performance tuning, and cloud modernization strategies.

  • Champion the use of AI and intelligent automation to lift engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.

  • Mentor developers and guide teams on cloud-native development, AI integration, observability, and resiliency principles.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in .NET application architecture and development, with a strong C# foundation.

  • 5+ years designing and deploying cloud-native solutions (Azure or AWS) using microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed-system design.

  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable agentic coding tools) and proven ability to apply them to lift team-wide engineering productivity.

  • Proven experience with security protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect) and identity providers (Okta, Azure AD / Entra ID).

  • Working knowledge of application security best practices — secure APIs, rate limiting, secrets management, RBAC, and Managed Identities.

  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience across both application and infrastructure layers.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce and present architecture artifacts (diagrams, specifications, solution blueprints).

  • Solid understanding of data integration patterns and event-driven systems, primarily on Microsoft Azure (e.g., Event Hubs, Service Bus, Kafka); equivalent AWS services welcome, Azure preferred.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for enabling cross-functional success.

Other Beneficial Skills

  • Hands-on experience integrating Generative AI capabilities (e.g., Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or comparable platforms) into applications, including practical prompt engineering for business use cases.

  • Familiarity with agentic AI patterns, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and modern AI orchestration frameworks (MS Agent framework, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or similar).

  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration at enterprise scale.

  • Exposure to FinOps practices, including cost optimization and performance trade-offs.

  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture, threat modeling, and advanced security reviews.
