We are looking for a proactive, solution-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering team at Copeland Flow Controls Czech s.r.o. in Kolín, Czechia.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide essential technical support to manufacturing operations, ensuring that production processes are efficient, safe, and meet quality standards. The primary objective of this role is to improve productivity, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The position focuses on process optimization, workplace ergonomics, new product introduction, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to production by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and process deviations.
  • Set up and optimize manufacturing processes, production parameters, and equipment, including hands-on support with tooling, fixtures, and adapters.
  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, capacity, and cost performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and work instructions while supporting process standardization and employee training.
  • Support the installation, replacement, and commissioning of machinery, equipment, and tooling, including preparation of technical documentation and project execution.
  • Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities, including manufacturing line design and material flow optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality, Production, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • High school Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Secondary education
  • This position is suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with 0–3 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Experience with process optimization and new product introduction (NPI).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Czech and English – fluent – both mandatory

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good command of English, including the ability to read technical documentation and communicate effectively in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software such as NX and Pro/ENGINEER.
