Position Summary
The Business Services Strategic Account Executive supports sales opportunities among a select group of large business, government, education and healthcare clients along with those who obtain services as wholesale clients.   This position would work closely with and report to the Sales Manager for Strategic Accounts.  The position would involve travel to Armstrong’s remote locations and would also be a mix of supporting customer demand and retention, in addition to prospecting and new customer acquisition.

What You Will Do:

  • Supports sales to Enterprise segment customers, large government, education, and healthcare industry segment customers
  • Responsible for achieving revenue growth objectives through new account acquisition, upgrading and adding services to existing clients, and handling client needs to ensure business retention
  • Development of a territory account plan that outlines how revenue growth objectives will be met
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for customers and internal clients for applications relevant to the specific industries supported by this role (government, education, and healthcare)
  • Develops cost effective solutions that address the specific business needs and problems of enterprise customers

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of telecom/cable sales experience preferred
  • Demonstrated sales success representing technical products and services, preferably telecom, cable, and optical Ethernet based network services
  • Experience in the Enterprise (large account) segment desired
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is desired
  • Experience with e-rate processes for the K-12 education market a plus
  • Candidate must be mobile (travel 25%- 50% of the time or greater) with occasional overnight stays required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
