Position Summary

The OEM Sales Vice President is responsible for direct sales to OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers). They manage relationships with key OEMs, establish new OEM accounts and OEM accounts related, but not limited to, growing segments of Taco’s business, including heat transfer, commercial pumps, controls and electronics.  This role works closely with the Sr Vice President of OEM Sales to achieve sales goals and objectives.

Measures of success:

  • Achieve annual revenue target
  • Maintain and grow existing base of customers year over year
  • Expand business into new customers, market opportunities and areas

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drive and manage direct sales to OEMs, providing regular follow up on customer service and delivery performance.
  • Establish and develop new OEM account relationships, including accounts related to growing segments of Taco’s business.
  • Monitor key account management plans, including identified sales targets and specific objectives for key accounts.
  • Understand and evaluate customer requirements and competitive issues on a continual basis and provides long/short-term direction policy for profitable sales growth.
  • Gather general information about OEM customers, such as business drivers, strategy, purchasing, competition, current and upcoming sales projects, and organizational changes.
  • Collaborate with OEM Team on price adjustments and market strategies.
  • Work with Sr Vice President on forecasting, reporting of production volumes and market share.
  • Achieve sales and profitability objectives, manage rebates, and manage expenses to achieve optimum profitability.
  • Establish strong relations with key customers in the development of business partnerships.
  • Visit with key customers on a regular basis and provide regular follow up on delivery performance and customer service.
  • Participate with the sales/marketing leadership team in identifying the strategic direction, goals, and overall success of the business.
  • Interface with production, finance, legal and other departments to achieve corporate goals and objectives.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sales and Marketing
  • 5+ years of OEM sales experience in the HVAC industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, Project Management software, and Quality Management Systems
  • Knowledge of pump system design
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with delivering presentations
  • A self-directed, self-driven collaborator with strong influencing skills
  • Travel is up to 75% for the first year to develop relationships. Once established, travel is required as needed to office, sales meetings, conferences, and customer sites, etc.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Sales and Marketing or related field
  • 10+ years of OEM sales experience in the HVAC industry

Work Environment

This position works primarily in an office environment using computers and technology.  Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent.  Safety gear is required in these areas.

This position may work from home with occasional travel to corporate office, sales meetings and customers.

Management:

This position has no direct reports.

 

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.

$90,351$126,491 USD
