A Cloud Servers Engineer is responsible for complex large scaled-out infrastructure deployments, implementations and issues that may take several weeks or months to implement and/or resolve. The Engineer applies creative problem-solving techniques to identify the source of problems and keeps management aware of every step along the way.
As part of the role, creating automation in a DevOps mindset, we are looking for fluency in at least one of the following:
- Ansible
- Terraform
- Python
An Engineer is expected to proactively call out potential pitfalls that the product may experience, using existing or planned methods, and suggest architectural alternatives that may better serve the stability and security of the solution. An Engineer is responsible for solving the platform’s technical issues, which can include OS level, web server, caching, message queuing, database server, applications server, DNS, SMTP or other software issues. Engineers must continually propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the Cloud Products.
Due to the nature of engineering, successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours preferably with a shift from (Tuesday - Saturday) and to be available on call as an escalation point on rotation.
Willingness to undergo SC Clearance is required therefore UK based passport holder for a minimum of 5 years based within the United Kingdom.
